About Me
Hello, beautiful souls! I’m Maya Daniel, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about myself with you. At 36 years old, I carry with me a rich tapestry of experiences, having moved from Angola to Berlin when I was just 2 years old. Growing up in this vibrant city has shaped my perspective and fueled my passion for connection and community. I speak fluent German, I’m proficient in English, and I also understand Lingala and Portuguese, adding to the beautiful diversity of my background.
Writing has always been a cherished outlet for me. I love capturing my thoughts on paper, whether it’s reflections on life, insights on body positivity, or simply musings about my day-to-day experiences. In my free time, you’ll often find me engaging in muscle training at home, as fitness is an important part of my wellness journey.
I’m also an avid fan of crime series and books—there’s nothing quite like getting lost in a thrilling mystery! One of my favorite books is The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* by Mark Manson, which offers a refreshing perspective on what truly matters in life.
Through my writing and this community, I hope to empower others to embrace their unique journeys, just as I have. I’d love to hear about your own stories and interests, so feel free to share! Remember, you are loved, enough, and truly remarkable just as you are!
My Vision
Our vision is to empower and inspire black women by sharing authentic life stories and experiences, highlighting the unique challenges and triumphs of navigating life as a black woman in a diverse world. We strive to create a transparent platform that fosters connection and understanding, showcasing personal growth, resilience, and the journey of self-discovery. By sharing our narratives, ranging from relationships to personal struggles, we aim to serve as role models for the younger generation, demonstrating that it is possible to forge one’s own path, even in the face of traditional expectations. We believe that by embracing our stories, we can foster empathy and reduce judgment, reminding everyone that we are all humans, each with our own battles to fight. Ultimately, we aim to touch lives, provide solace, and guide others through their journeys, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggles.
